Renowned globally for their design-forward outdoor homewares and beautiful shade, Australian-based Basil Bangs have released The Italian Collection for SS24/25, a bespoke collection of fabric milled in Italy exclusively for them.
Made up of four distinct designs, the fabric collection draws inspiration from the textures and tones of the Aeolian Islands. Inherently personal (the family of Basil Bangs co-founder, Mike Durante, hails from the island of Lipari), The Italian Collection is an ode to the spirit of summer, and is a true celebration of design excellence.
“A true first for Basil Bangs, this collection connects to my Italian heritage and pays homage to Italy’s rich history of design and manufacturing. We are thrilled to partner with a boutique fabric mill with over 80 years experience in making high quality fabric. To see our designs realised by this team of artisans is incredible,” said Mike.
Launching this month, the collection features a summery palette of warm neutrals, striking ombrés, classic stripes and textured linens, across a range of Basil Bangs’ iconic products.
“A collection with an Italian heart and Australian soul, we are proud to produce thoughtful, timeless, design-led outdoor products that are built to last. Backed by years of expertise and craftsmanship, you can bring the holiday vibe into your home – without the jetlag,” says Krista Huebner, co-founder.
Basil Bangs also introduces a selection of new products to completely transform your space into your very own Italian oasis. The seasonal hero designs include the Directors Chair ($389), the re-released Luxury Towel ($99), the re-imagined outdoor cushion collection (from $119) and outdoor ottomans. Collection fabric is available by the metre for custom upholstery and projects.
