Parents of teenagers who want an aesthetically pleasing home probably aren’t thrilled by what most gaming furniture looks like, so when I saw the latest offerings from IKEA I had to share them! What a clever niche to address: good-looking gaming furniture and accessories!
The BRรNNBOLL gaming station, $399
This flexible gaming station holds all your gear, so you can quickly get started. And when you’re done playing, you can hide everything behind the doors โ even your gaming chair.
Every detail has been thought of! On the shelf closest to the desk, you can place a flat 24-inch monitor or your favourite gear, giving you more space on the desk. On the adjustable top shelf, you can display your favourite things or keep headphones and other gaming gear close at hand. At the bottom, there is a shelf for your PC tower that you can mount on the right or left side to save space on the desk.
The castors on the doors make them easy to open without scratching the floor โ even on floors that are uneven. The felt material gives this piece of furniture a warm and soft expression that suits most decor styles and protects all the gaming gear on the inside.
When youโve finished playing, you can fold the foldable table top and slide your gaming chair in neatly and tidily.
The BRรNNBOLLย gaming lounge chair, $249
This is such a fun and good-looking piece, it might get used by non-gamers too!
You can use the lounge chair in two ways when gaming or relaxing โ with or without the seat cushion folded out. You will sit stable and steady for many years to come since the frame is made of carbon steel. You also enjoy a relaxed sitting position while gaming thanks to the angled backrest.
The castors make it easy to move the lounge chair from room to room, so you can always sit comfortably while gaming. And the cover is machine-washable.
If you don’t want to invest that much in a gaming lounge, the BRรNNBOLL inflatable gaming lounge chair is $79
By using the included pump, you quickly fill the lounge chair with the amount of air you need to sit comfortably and enjoy the right support when you play. When you’re not using it, you can even store it hanging from a hook on the wall by using the loop on the back.
The cover’s mesh fabric lets air through, which is extra nice when the match drags on. And when it’s time for a refresh, you can remove the cover and machine wash it.
Fed up of those bloody controllers everywhere (I am and my boys are 5 and 9!)? Check out the BRรNNBOLL shelving unit on castors, $99.
In this shelving unit you can gather and organise consoles, controllers, headphones and everything else you need for gaming. And when it’s time to play, you simply roll everything to your favourite spot.
This isn’t from the same new IKEA collection but the GRUPPSPEL gaming chair, $399, is the best looking gaming chair we’ve seen in a while. Not the usual ugly black monstrosity but nonetheless ergonomic!
