In fabulous news for DIY home renovators, the on-trend yet affordable kitchen brand kaboodleย has just added a fabulous range of cut to measure splash backs to its range. Comprised of some of the brandโs most popular bench top colours, the splash backs are made from a material that is scratch and moisture resistant, lightweight and super easy to install with silicone all that is required.
โOur cut to measure splashbacks are a revolutionary addition to our range. Unlike glass, they are DIY friendly and unlike acrylic, they can also be used behind gas and electric cooktops combining the best of both worlds,โ says Aymeric De Rosbo, kaboodle product category manager. When used behind cooktops you just need to combine the splashback with calcium silicate board –ย cement sheeting that has been designed specifically to provide a heat resistant barrier to protect any combustible surface such as wall studs in case of fire.
The range features nine colours โ five contemporary solids and four of the most popular colours from the brandโs bench top range (crackle crush gloss, soyanut, mayonella and Calcutta gloss). โWhen matched with some of the most popular colours from our bench top program, there are opportunities to create a seamless bench top โจand splash back look which can easily be cut and installed with only simple woodworking tools such as a circular saw, jigsaw as well as double-sided tape and silicone,โ says Aymeric.
For expansive spaces, where a seamless finish is ideal, the splash backs are available in large sheet sizes too (up to 3600mm wide) which reduces the number of visible joins. As with the rest of the kaboodle range you can find the splashbacks at Bunnings.

Colours look great
Never ever buy Kaboodle kitchens. I made mistake but you can save yourself from my experience. I bought Kitchen from Bunnings Parafield Gardens SA. Bunnings team was great to help and resolve every issue. But the quality of Kaboodle is worst. Melamine was coming off from side penals of kitchen island which was glued by the joiner as I was desperate to get my kitchen done before home warming party. Screw comes with the push to open door hinges are different color from hinges which look awkwards. In 150 mm cabinets push to open hinges doesn’t work as after closing Cabnets it gets open after 10-15 seconds. New hinges replaced but same issue with it. Called helpline number of Kaboodle customer service person Cameron Gray was suggesting to put standard hinges on these two cabinets he was not ready to accept that these products are not working properly.
Gas reliver in slimline cabinet above fridge got too much pressure that its throwing door away from the cabinet. Metal plates on the door for pust to open doesn’t stick properly as coming off. All this blunder is happening within 2 months of getting new kitchen. So my suggestions to all of you to think 1000s time before you buy Kaboodle Kitchens.
