I discovered Annuello at the recent Decor + Design trade fair in Melbourne, where they were without doubt my favourite stand. I sat down with the brand’s Chandelle Hazlett to find out more.

“Annuello was founded from a love of timeless design, natural materials and craftsmanship,” says Chandelle of the family-owned business based in the Mallee region of Victoria. “Every piece is designed to be as functional as it is beautiful.”
The family’s background is in stone masonry, and they were struck by the many beautiful offcuts that often went to waste. “After bringing beautiful materials from one part of the earth to the other side of the world, we didn’t want these stunning materials to go to waste, and that’s where the idea for Annuello was born. We had already received the occasional request for a dining table or side piece, so turning these remnants into bespoke furniture felt like a natural next step,” Chandelle explains.

The team now combine traditional techniques with modern technology to create furniture that is truly one of a kind, with sustainability woven into their processes. “By repurposing these materials, we’re not only reducing landfill but also giving each piece a unique story. No two stones are ever the same, which means every item is truly bespoke.”

The McKenna side table is one of their most popular designs and never fails to captivate people’s attention. Its sculptural form and unique stone variations make it a statement piece in any space. The stone coffee tables in Tundra and Arabescato Corchia marble are also highly sought after. Meanwhile, smaller accessories, like plinths and trays, have become client favourites for adding sculptural detail to interiors.
“Our clients are individuals with design at the forefront of their mind. They seek one-of-a-kind, bespoke pieces that bring artistic creation to everyday items while retaining practicality and function. They have a deep appreciation for stone and a strong understanding of the value of quality materials, choosing pieces that combine beauty, craftsmanship, and longevity.”

Chandelle describes Annuello’s aesthetic as bespoke, unique, and artistic. “We focus on creating statement pieces that blend sculptural form with everyday function, celebrating the individuality of each material and the creativity behind every design.”

It’s still a young brand, but the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Clients appreciate the craftsmanship, the flexibility to customise, and the attention to detail that goes into every piece. “There’s been a genuine excitement about what we’re creating and how it brings something different to the Australian design market.”
