Wallpaper: it’s everywhere right now and whatever pattern you choose, covering a wall, or all your walls, makes a great statement; any kind of statement you like! If you’ve ever dreamed of an industrial chic warehouse conversion but have no such architectural features in reality, online store shelf/life have started stocking some wallpapers which could help!
“One of the more recent trends we’ve seen in interiors is that of faux texture wallpaper,” says owner Jess Ibbett. “The main reason for this is probably due to new technology allowing companies to print photorealistic images onto paper, opening up a huge amount of options when it comes to decorating your home.
“All these options can sometimes create rather scary outcomes as companies go crazy thinking of unusual things to slap onto their wallpaper. For instance, I’m not sure I could live in a house covered head to toe with giant realistic bugs. But done well, I think these digitally printed wallpapers definitely have a place in modern interiors and can easily add a point of interest to your home.”
She’s hand selected a small range of faux texture wallpaper with finishes like painted white brick. “They’ll help create a modern industrial feel without all the effort of stripping back the render on your walls. Did somebody say warehouse conversion?”
Even better, they’re made in Australia using eco-friendly PVC free papers and non-solvent inks. Buy online.
Are you a fan? Is this something you’d try in your home?

Ooh the laundry! That is actually a really great space to use these wallpapers, I like your thinking!

It’s an interesting concept. I’m not sure if I would use it in living areas, but maybe smaller rooms, like Something Gorgeous mentions above.
PS – The white weatherboards look quite cool, actually.

I have to know whether they are smooth or textured to touch to say whether I like it or not! And even then it’s probably individual from one motif to another.
Wallpaper Manufacturer says
Hi Caroline. We actually design and manufacture this range which Shelf Life is stocking.
These wallpapers are smooth papers. I hope this helps? Thanks.

These are amazing, I’d love to try one but not sure I’d have the guts! I do have a wall in the laundry that could do with some sprucing up though…. Hmmmm.

Thank you Jen- you have just solved my “what to do with the walls for the backyard bungalow”- trying to convert to a workable space (office/spare bedroom) instead of storing bikes etc. Now to the doors…. French?Shobi? etc.etc.etc.

Suede cork and natural grasscloth are also trending well right now. Some of the patterns being manufactured from York, Seabrook or Warner are just phenomenal. Kenneth James makes some fantastic textures as well. You cannot tell that its not real when you walk into a room.

Wow Wallpaper Hanging says
We hang a lot of wallpaper, it’s amazing how popular wallpaper has become. These realistic wallpaper designs give instant atmosphere and are a lot cheaper than the real thing. We especially love Andrew Martin designs taht have a wonderful trompe l’oeil quality about them.
