One of the many benefits of working from home, is having your pick of pretty desk accessories rather than the standard corporate and practical choices. There’s definitely nothing dull about Country Road’s gorgeous new homewares in this department.
When I previewed them some months back, your reaction on Instagram suggested you loved them as much as I did, especially the gold items (if you’re taking any of these babies into a shared office, you may want to make sure you write your name on them somewhere). The good news is, it’s all now available to buy in store and online.
My favourites are the gold Dakota scissors ($14.99), Kala pen holder ($39.95) Kala letter stand ($49.95) and Mio brass paperweight ($24.95). The perspex choices are also great, practical, and will go with anything. I have gold accessories throughout my home (little bit of a Tom Dixon Eclectic obsession going on). Not only does gold go with most other colours, metallic is just another texture to add into your mix and things which reflect light off their shiny surfaces will always catch your eye.
There’s also plenty of timber and monochrome finishes within the desk category this season.
Even if you don’t have a home office, I’m sure you’ll find a way to incoporate some of these pieces into your abode!
Did you know the high street giant is celebrating its 40th anniversary? You’ll notice a brand refresh which is very graphic and monochrome. My new jeans came wrapped in lovely black and white checked tissue at the weekend. Happy birthday CR, and keep up the good work!

Oh nice find! I am looking for something to lift my office space and this looks perfect for it. Am giving the place a revamp with a new rug and sofa…you’ll need to pop in for a drink when it’s done. I haven’t seen your beautiful smiley face in ages… xx
