Perched high on Ascot’s coveted north-facing ridgeline, PALMA by GRAYA is an uncompromising architectural masterpiece that balances sculptural boldness with refined restraint. With its commanding 20-metre frontage, this three-level residence features five en-suite bedrooms, a separate study, and five and a half bathrooms, all designed to blend seamless function with striking form.

At its heart lies a dramatic 6.6-metre central void that floods the home with natural light, creating an expansive sense of scale and openness throughout the living spaces. From the six-car basement garage to the resort-style magnesium pool and the 1,000-bottle wine cellar, every element is thoughtfully considered to support both grand entertaining and intimate family life.

In collaboration with GRAYA, Studio Gallery curated an exclusive selection of contemporary artworks throughout the home – transforming PALMA into a true gallery-style residence. In the main living area, Kerry Armstrong’s large-scale triptych anchors the space with bold, emotive brushwork – its rich colour field amplifying the architectural drama of the curved staircase and soaring void.

The dynamic silhouettes of Stanislas Piechaczek introduce movement and energy, while Peter Summers’ pared-back, tonal compositions offer contemplative moments of quiet reflection.

Ali McNabney-Stevens’ expressive floral work brings warmth and softness to a private retreat, providing a lyrical contrast to the home’s structural rigour. Richard Whadcock’s atmospheric landscape contributes a quiet, elemental presence – echoing the natural materials and soft Mediterranean light that define PALMA’s aesthetic while Paul Snell’s vivid work introduces rhythm and structure.

The curation is grounded by thoughtful contrasts: Claire Kirkup’s playful palette, Miranda Russell’s expressive freedom, and Dave Kulesza’s architecturally composed, colour-saturated poolside work. Elsbeth Shaw adds a refined visual anchor, harmonising with the home’s elegant flow, transforming PALMA from a luxurious residence into a living gallery – one where every room invites contemplation, beauty, and balance.
Studio Gallery has one of Australia’s largest commercially available collections of contemporary art held across five gallery locations in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
