Introduced earlier this year, the Haymes Paint Colour Library is a new tool that allows the Australian paint brand to showcase itsย latest colour collections with a particular eyeย on interior trends. The most recentย addition to the library, โVolume 8,โ sees 27 on-trend paint colours categorisedย into three themes โ โStark Beauty, โStrataโ and โPitch Dark’ run the gamut fromย vibrant green to moody nudes, subtleย whites and rich reds.
โVolume 8 covers the diverse collection of colour and design directions we see influencing the market globally. Weโve presented this volume in three distinct colour stories that we believe will work well across interiors, particularly in Australia,โ says Wendy Rennie, colour and concept manager at Haymes Paint.
โThere is no one-size-fits all approach and often itโs the blend of external factors like culture, arts, politics and commerce that influence our trends and colour palettes,โ says Wendy of the brand’s colour forecasting strategy.
โStark Beautyโ pairs fresh, grassy green with subtle white tones to conjure what the brand calls an โalmost Japanese aesthetic and sensibility,โ that embraces softย minimalism. The green shade is a particularly vibrant one that is perfect for energising tiredย spaces.
As itsย name would suggest, โStrata,โ pays homage to the rich colours found in the layers of the earth. From ruddy tans and browns to lush deep green and sea blue, โStrataโ is an earthy palette that is ideal for pairing with the ever-popularย tribal trend.
The most diverse palette, โPitch Dark,โ is big on dark hues and features strong blacks and dark charcoals combined with rich reds. A moody nude lightens the look, as does an injection of deep blue.
