We tend to think that creating a unique and beautiful coloured kitchen (the kind we’ve been lusting over on Instagram or Pinterest) has to cost a fortune and include custom cabinetry and an interior designer. And if we want a cost-effective flatpack kitchen we’re looking at all-white with flat doors and basic hardware. Thankfully, that’s not always true.
I’ve been taking an early peek at what’s new at kaboodle and I’m seriously impressed with what can now be created with a little imagination. A space that’s completely personal to you really can be in budget. How exciting!

Here’s a few of the new products you can now find at kaboodle (at Bunnings) to help you achieve a kitchen that’s anything from mainstream!
V-Groove profile doors
Now, you have to have been living under a rock to not realise v-groove is a trend that’s not going anywhere and what I love most about it, is how it goes with so many different styles of home, from traditional to modern. Who doesn’t love its clean vertical lines and the instant texture and interest it adds? Choosing v-groove doors is the perfect way to instantly upgrade and personalise your kitchen cabinets, and they’re now available at an affordable price.

“The v-groove profile features a vertical panel look down the full length of the door with no borders or framing, adding the perfect amount of character while maintaining a clean, polished aesthetic,” said Michael Delaney, kaboodle’s content & social media manager. “The vertical grooves are evenly spaced 50mm apart across all door sizes, providing a uniform and balanced look. This design allows for the flexibility of clean, uninterrupted lines from top to bottom and side to side.”

Go one further by picking a colour other than white. My current favourite is Danish Blue (showcased so beautifully in these pictures), but I also have a soft spot for Berry Blue (previously known as Bluepea) which I used in my own laundry. If you’re nervous about branching out from white, I think a shade of blue is a very safe bet. Its classic, timeless, coastal vibes, mean it’ll always look fresh.
It’s also a hue known for its calming properties and goes well with cool-toned timbers and most white and grey benchtops and splash backs, not to mention chrome or brass hardware. And if you pair the v-groove with the blue, you’re looking at a classic coastal or modern Hamptons look that could never be accused of being dated.

Concrete-look Lady Grey bench top
New to kaboodle and also tapping into a popular trend that has proven to stand the test of time, is this new laminate benchtop with the look of concrete. With its understated grey base and natural appeal, Lady Grey embodies contemporary style without the hefty price tag. Featuring a textured matt finish, this 38mm benchtop could embody the industrial style you’ve been looking for. It’s available in compact radius: 600mm and 900mm and square edge: 300mm to 1200mm widths.

While you’re checking out what kaboodle has to offer to take your kitchen next level, their premium wireware means you can maximise every cm of your pantry and cabinets. It’s the best way to keep those surfaces clutter-free and give you more space for intentionally styled vignettes (stack of boards and a marble mortar and pestle, anyone?!).

Goodbye dead space and corner cupboard of doom, as I call it. We wrote all about it here:

…
Let’s face it, there’s nothing like a fancy kitchen that stands out from everyone else’s as a bit different, to make you feel like you’ve made it! So say goodbye to mainstream, bland and all-white! Whether you’re going to design it yourself using kaboodle’s 3D planner and get trades in to build it, or DIY the whole thing, everything you need can be found at your local Bunnings! And their prices mean even if you’re on a budget, you can have all the bells and whistles too!
So, if you’re ready to transform your space, discover the endless possibilities with kaboodle. Because when you create something this special, you can proudly say ‘you made it!’
Note the v-groove profile doors and Lady Grey benchtop both have extended lead times so factor this into your planning.
