Over the past 15 years Auraย have created 30 collections of stunning homewares. They’ve done almost everything, fromย bed linen in the bedroom andย cushions and throws in the living room to table linen in the dining room and towels in the bathroom. But today marks a big change, as Auraย enterย the heart of the home, the kitchen, with their first range of ceramics.
“The kitchen is myย favourite room in the house,” explains founder Tracie Ellis. “I love entertaining andย spend my weekends cooking for friends and family, often with produce weโveย grown in our garden in Kyneton. So the ceramicsย collection is really for me. Iย needed a dinner set so of course I designed one. I am hoping our Auraย customersย like it too.”Aย comprehensive collection itย includes coffee mugs, tapas plates,ย stacking bowls, tea cups, side plates, dinner plates, salt andย olive bowls, dipย bowls, tapas bowls and serving trays in a variety of materials.ย However, not all of the range has beenย released today, with the collectionย trickling out overย the following months.ย What you can get your hands on rightย now though, are theย coffee mugs, tapas plates and stacking bowls in patterned porcelain.Designed in Melbourne, but inspired by years of global meandering, the ceramic designs are both inspired by travel and Aura’s current bed linen range. With many of the bedding patterns having been transferring beautifully onto ceramics. An amazing result!
