Baya, the New Zealand born and now Melbourne based luxury soft furnishings brand, have just released their 2025 collection.
Texture and pattern play a central role in the creative vision for the collection. Made from 100% New Zealand wool, the floor rugs promise to keep your feet warm and cosy, and come in a range of rich autumnal tones. They pair nicely with the cushions, which range from simple woven designs to hand-painted pattens.
Hannah Middleton, creative director for the new collection, says: “By using natural fibres and embracing sustainable techniques, we sought to honour both the environment and the traditions of craftmanship, ensuring that each piece has a story and purpose beyond aesthetics.”
For the 2025 annual collection colour palette, rich earth tones, such as mocha and deep green olive, are underscored by a saturated blue ink. These shades are borrowed from the outdoors, to bring in a warmth and tranquillity to any interior.
The throw rugs are light yet durable, as Baya use natural fibres such as wool, linen and cotton. New to their collection, the Mosman throw rug (below) uses a fine herringbone weave. The more muted hue creates a luxurious, timeless aesthetic to enhance a space.
