This is my gratitude jar, given to me by my friend Naomi for Christmas. It came with the patterned pieces of paper already cut up and a special pen to write on them with and everything!
The idea is that every day this year I write something on a piece of paper that I’m grateful for and, next New Year’s Eve, I empty them all out and read them. Quite literally counting your blessings.
Why not start your own gratitude jar? You could make it look all kinds of pretty too. A quick Google will reveal that I’m by no means alone and there are all kinds of ideas out there for how to decorate yours. And what a great way to reflect on the year at the end of it.
I feel really hopeful at the start of 2013 and I’m fairly sure I’m going to fill up even this big tall spaghetti jar! Thanks Nomes!

Well done – such a great idea!!! x
Love them, I did a story about one in our first Newsletter of the year but called it a memory jar.. such a simple but very effective idea. I love that Naomi included pretty paper so it will always look fab too as it fills up x
That is a lovely idea 🙂 I’ve seen pics of ones with small objects as well as little cards. Very cool.
