After over a decade of crafting bold statement jewellery and accessories, Nikita Majajasi has expanded into designing decor and homewares that merge art with functionality—pieces that infuse playful personality into any space.
“I’ve noticed how colour seems to be fading from our daily surroundings, and I’m inspired to bring vibrancy and joy back into our homes, workplaces, and social spaces,” she says. “From my studio in the Blue Mountains, I’ve created a collection that’s handcrafted, vibrant, and unapologetically fun. I also offer bespoke services, creating custom pieces for homes, restaurants, bars, and boutiques, with everything produced locally and thoughtfully.”
At her brand, Doodad and Fandango, every piece is made to order, ensuring each creation is truly one-of-a-kind. For the past 10 years, founder Nikita has operated with a custom-made approach in her accessory designs, and she’s excited to continue this tradition with the new homewares range.
Materials used include 100% sustainably and responsibly sourced Radiata pine plywood, laminates and acrylic.
The range includes everyday items given the fun and colourful pop art treatment, such as clocks, coasters and placemats, vases and mirrors.
Nikita comes from an artistic family background. Her design journey was inspired by a two-year stint in Japan, leading to studies in fashion, shoemaking, jewellery and object design. She founded Doodad and Fandango in 2014, creating pop art accessories. Her work has been worn globally by celebrities and divas, and exhibited at the Powerhouse Museum in 2023.
