If there were such thing as an ‘it’ sink when it comes to kitchens, it has to be the much-loved farmhouse sink (also commonly known as a butler sink). They’re large, they make a statement, and they’re seen as a real luxury; just another way to make your flatpack kitchen look anything but basic.

In response to customer demand, kaboodle have just added farmhouse sinks to their range and cleverly, they’re reversible, so you can choose whether you prefer the fluted or flat finish. What’s more, they’re launching both the traditional fireclay, and a stainless steel version, ideal for both laundries and kitchens.

Both versions come in sizes to fit an 600mm and 800mm farmhouse sink cabinet. We’ve seen this style of sink rise in popularity over the last couple of years and can imagine their addition to kaboodle’s range is going to make for many happy customers!
Something else we’ve seen gaining popularity are sink accessories, designed to make this kitchen workhorse work even harder, looking stylish in the process! kaboodle’s new farmhouse sinks can be enhanced with a range of food prep and clean-up accessories designed to sit neatly within the integrated ledge of both fireclay or stainless steel versions (who doesn’t love being able to hide things away when there’s a place for everything and everything in its place?!)

The accessories include:
- A colander
- A chopping board
- A mini sink
- A sink roll mat
- A sink protector grid.

The fireclay sinks are made from durable, glazed fireclay. It is strong, easy to clean and designed to handle daily wear; a smart choice for busy households who want a white sink that stays looking fresh.
Many people choose farmhouse sinks for their extra large capacity, making it easy to clean (or indeed hide) pots and pans. Washing up baking sheets for example, which wouldn’t fit in a regular sink, becomes a breeze. Not to mention their good looks, which mean they become a feature in the kitchen, especially when paired with beautiful tapware. They work particularly well with the increasingly popular pull-out taps.

Kaboodle’s farmhouse sinks are easy to install with a kaboodle-specific farmhouse sink and cabinet system. The sink can be dropped onto a purpose-built modular cabinet, designed to be moisture-resistant and handle heavy weight, with no additional fascia or panels required. They can be used with timber, porcelain, composite and stone benchtops.
Other farmhouse sinks often require expensive custom cabinetry underneath.

Farmhouse sinks are both nostalgic and reminiscent of rustic charm, but you can now have one wherever you live, and even if your reno budget isn’t huge.
