The Australian Interior Design Awards return for 2026, unveiling a shortlist of 226 projects. Recognising outstanding work across residential, commercial and public sectors, the awards highlight the depth and calibre of Australian interior design. Now in its 23rd year, the awards are widely regarded as the industry’s leading benchmark for excellence and innovation, celebrating Australian interior design both nationally and internationally.

Presented by the Design Institute of Australia and Architecture Media’s InteriorsAu, the 2026 shortlist reflects the continued evolution of the industry, showcasing a considered collection of projects that demonstrate creativity, authenticity and thoughtful design. Together, the shortlisted works offer a compelling and diverse narrative reflective of the contemporary Australian interior landscape.
