Impatient for a new kitchen but just can’t afford it right now? Check out these new tile and laminate paints for a fuss-free makeover with no need for a primer.
One of the easiest ways of saving on the cost of renovation is to retain existing cabinetry and splashback tiles while spending on new appliances. The latest Tile and Laminate Paint from Flood, restores the appearance of laminate or melamine cupboards to new while the same paint can bring a fresh, glossy finish to dated tiles. Unlike other paints of this kind, it requires no primer, making it faster and less expensive.
Available in 54 colours plus crisp white, the paint requires just 2 coats and dries to a high gloss, hardwearing finish.
You can even use it to update tired looking whitegoods like refrigerators and dishwashers, and with the wide choice in colour, these appliances can be made to match the overall colour scheme of the kitchen.
Application is simple and simply calls for thoroughly cleaning and then scuffing the surfaces with sandpaper first. Any dust or mould must also be removed.
After drying the surface, the Flood Tile & Laminate Paint can be applied either by brush, or for larger areas, by roller. The paint will be touch dry in 4 hours and after 24 hours, the surface should be lightly sanded with a 600 grit sandpaper and a second coat applied. Maximum hardness is achieved after 3 days.
The formula combines anti-mould inhibitors with the latest polymer technology to ensure excellent adherence to smooth, high gloss surfaces. Flood Tile & Laminate Paint is available nationally from Masters, Mitre 10, Paint Place and 3D plus other independent paint specialists. It retails for $45.95 a litre and $82.95 for 2 litres. The Flood Tile & Laminate Cleaner is $17.95. There is also a handy Tile & Laminate Paint Kit โ 1 litre of paint in the customerโs colour choice, 750ml Tile & Laminate Cleaner, paint roller and tray plus sanding block โ for just $79.95.

Terrible stuff.
Did the bathroom, very hard to use and very runny.
Followed all instructions but not a good outcome..
The fumes are an absolute shocker that I almost went to the hospital.
Felt out of it and dizzy for hours. Very sickening and scary .

Why don’t you review products you’ve actually used? This product is horrible and shouldn’t be sold to anyone. Your website isn’t useful, you just get paid to advertise crap products
Jen Bishop says
Hi there Larissa. This piece isn’t a review and nowhere do I state I’ve used it. I wasn’t, and never have been, paid anything by this brand, and if I had, it would say as much as the top of the article. If you have an issue with this product you should probably take it up with them.

I have just started painting my kitchen cupboards & got AIR BUBBLES everywhere on the surfaces! This is after spending considerable time following the instructions, using the cleaning product by Flood & sanding & wiping down dust etc
I am very upset & annoyed – the product is not cheap & would expect by following directions to get a good result! Now what? Spread the bad news of the inferior priduct or is there a solution Mr John Willis? My email [email protected]
