Brisbane-based lighting brand FRANCA Studio, have launched a new plug-in collection, transforming their signature 3D-printed lights into ready-to-use shades, suitable for rentals and non-permanent spaces.
The collection features four styles — Celeste, Chloe, Coral and Eden Column — ranging from sharply geometric to softly organic in form, each finished with a tactile, translucent surface that diffuses a warm ambient glow.

The launch also introduces three unique cords in linen, silver and brown, designed to be a striking, visible part of the composition rather than something to conceal — each available to mix and match with any shade.

FRANCA Studio have built a following among design-lovers and interior enthusiasts for their sculptural, made-to-order lighting pieces that have become features in homes, restaurants and considered spaces across the country. The studio’s original collection spans ceiling, wall and table lights, each designed to be permanently installed and to meld seamlessly into their environment, offering an understated sophistication that elevates a space without overpowering it.
Crafted using 3D printing technology and made from PLA — a biodegradable plastic derived from renewable sources — FRANCA’s lights are as considered in their making as they are in their design, balancing beauty, functionality and sustainability in equal measure.

The plug-in collection draws inspiration from FRANCA’s original collection, favouring sculptural forms with softly layered silhouettes and pearlescent finishes. Unlike the classic collection, no electrician is required — each shade features a small arch at the back, allowing it to be mounted to a wall using Command strips or placed on a surface as a table lamp, then simply plugged into a power outlet. No drilling, no hard wiring, and no compromise on design — just flexible, considered lighting that works for any space.
The collection spans four styles, from geometric and architectural to soft and curved — designed to bring considered lighting to bedrooms, hallways, living rooms and leased spaces alike.

“FRANCA was born from a desire to make design-led lighting accessible to Australians who love statement pieces, but don’t want to spend thousands. Now our plug-in collection takes that one step further, making our shades more flexible with the ability to move them easily from wall to wall, table to table, or room to room,” said founder and designer Isabelle Bayly.
Sustainability is core to FRANCA’s design approach, where local, small batch production limits wastage and 3D printing ensures only the material needed for each product is used. All FRANCA lights are crafted using polylactic acid (PLA), a biodegradable material derived from renewable sources such as corn or sugarcane.

“Each light is a balance of form, function and sustainability,” adds Isabelle. “We want people to enjoy statement design in their everyday spaces, without excess waste or compromise. This collection embodies the essence of FRANCA — flexible, innovative and sustainable design that truly moves with the way people live.”
FRANCA Studio’s commitment to innovation, craftsmanship and sustainability has made it a standout in Australia’s design scene. The Plug-In Collection further cements the studio’s reputation as a leader in 3D-printed, sculptural lighting — pushing the boundaries of what is considered accessible design can look like.
The FRANCA Plug-In Collection is available now online, from $240.
