Here are their top five ‘tips and trix’ to a winning kitchen desigm
1. Storage is key to a functional kitchen. Work out in advance how much cupboard space you will need for all your glasses, crockery, cookware and design accordingly. If you’re planning for a growing family, definitely think about the pantry size!
2. Consider your bench space – more is always better and can double as preparation, work and entertaining space.
3. If you’re renovating for sale, keep the tones simple and neutral and you can’t go wrong. If the kitchen is for your own home, spend the most you can afford on quality appliances and bring in personal touches through tiles, lighting or colours.
4. Renovate complementary rooms – update your laundry or study at the same time as your kitchen renovation to achieve a seamless flow through your home.
5. Always talk to a professional kitchen designer. They have designed hundreds of kitchens and know their products. They also know about the latest technology and design trends.
