Win outdoor cushions from Into the Fold + 20% off for readers

By Jen Bishop •

FacebookPinWhatsAppEmailTweet

Into the Fold is a new brand of outdoor cushions designed and made on the NSW North Coast.

_KNE1109

Although it’s often tempting to go crazy with bright colours for your outdoor area, I really like the idea of keeping things monochrome and letting nature do the talking. And these designs are pretty cool, huh? Penelope Hill took matters into her own hands when she couldn’t find any outdoor cushions she loved. Hers are made from waterproof canvas but there’s no reason you couldn’t use them inside too if you wanted to. Because they’re all in the same palette, you could have some fun mixing and matching.

AND they come in floor cushion size too!

One lucky reader will win a pair of 50x50cm cushions of their choice. To be in with a chance, simply comment below why your outdoor area needs a spruce up by midnight next Friday 14 November 2014. For everyone else, there’s 20% off any order until the end of Tuesday. Use discount code interiorsaddict at checkout.

This competition is now closed. The discount offer applies until midnight Tuesday 11 November 2014.

I've been meaning to post about getting out of hos I've been meaning to post about getting out of hospital in time for Christmas and spending a magical time with my beautiful family and friends for days now, but I was staying in the moment and off my phone. My wish came true and it really was amazing to enjoy that Santa magic.

Sadly, the day after Boxing Day, I ended up back in an ambulance after an internal bleed where my hemoglobin levels dropped dangerously low. I'm not very good at explaining the medical side, but after surgery and a couple of nights in ICU, I'm now on a ward and recovering well, hoping I get to return home ASAP.

I have so many thank yous to say for the incredible GoFundMe donations and kindness and support I've received. I really am blown away and so grateful. There are so many good people in the world, both strangers and those I'm lucky enough to know.

And having now received 6 bags of blood transfusion myself, another huge shout out to all donors. I felt so good to know I've done my bit donating over the years when I received someone else's life saving donation. Please consider doing the same and potentially saving a life.

Before ending up back in hospital, I was settling in well at home with daily visits from nurses and I'm hoping I can get back to that new normal again soon.

Thank you again to everyone for their kindness. And biggest thanks to @damianfrancis for truly spoiling me at Christmas and once again holding the fort at home. Our boys are so lucky to have you ❤️

Trigger warning: cancer. Home is SO important to Trigger warning: cancer.

Home is SO important to me, I even made a job out of talking about it. And having been stuck in hospital for 5 weeks, away from my sanctuary and my boys, I've never craved it more.

I'm going through the hardest time of my life and I'm finally sharing it here in the way I hope you've always known me to; with authenticity, realness and hope.

I've been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It's devastating and life-changing news and feels very vulnerable to share. Sadly it's causing me so much physical pain, I can't manage it at home. Being stuck in hospital, on top of keeping this secret, has been very isolating.

Our precious boys are our number one priority and we are being very well supported by our medical team and amazing friends and family. I can't say enough about the huge role my husband is playing in keeping us together.

I've continued to work when possible because I love it and it's a big part of my identity. I want as much normalcy, distraction and positivity as possible right now. Some days I put my lipstick on and face the day with gratitude for all the good stuff, like my world class friends and amazing healthcare. But I'm only human and other days, I just can't.

Despite the gravity of the situation, I only have to look at my boys to know I cannot give up hope.

Thanks for all the love and support I know you'll throw my way but please respect my boundaries by not asking medical questions or making medical suggestions, and know that I won't be able to reply to everyone.

This beautiful community has supported me for over a decade and I'm sure your kindness will help me no end. And if you want to support me, keep reading the blog so my work isn't wasted!

I'll still be the main point of contact for Interiors Addict but things will look a little different as I continue my chemo (3 rounds down) and get used to my new way of life.

Right now, my only wish is to be discharged to my family for Christmas.

Because I can no longer give blood, if anyone would like to make a festive donation of blood or plasma on my behalf and share it with me here, that would really make my day ❤️

PS. Nurses are worth their weight in gold.

Having recently moved into a house, (finally after a stint travelling the east coast in a bus with my hubby and 3 yr old), and after the very recent arrival of our 2nd bub, our new found garden space is looking a bit bare….so far only adorned by a sandpit, a few pots, a BBQ and a coupe of cheapo Kmart camp chairs…in other words it’s in dire need of a makeover and these cushions would be the perfect start! 🙂

The verandah on our old Queenslander is built in with old, ugly, aluminium windows. We have just started pulling them out to turn it back into a gorgeous outdoor space. Now we just need lots of furniture and accessories to make it beautiful and relaxing. Some Into the Fold cushions are just what I need!

Oh my gosh. These are amazing!!! I have a very bare corner of deck that I’ve been wanting to fill for the last year, just haven’t been able to find anything that would really go with our black and white outdoor setting. These are so cool though! And I could comfortably spend more time outdoors with the kids (we’d never want to go back inside). 🙂

oooh, some beautiful new cushions might just be the thing to motivate me to spruce up our outdoor area for summer – and to get hubby to finally move the out of service change table and old washing machine that have been stored there over the winter! Argh!

We shifted 8 months ago and finally have inside feeling like home but we have never had a pool before.
    So we are living outside
We have an outdoor setting but the amount of time we are outside we need some cosiness
These cushion will make it so comfy but make it look so nice and so us
    I adore them

I’ve just moved and the balcony in my new apartment is totally different from my old one – cool, industrial, concrete rather than warm-toned brick. It’s been a challenge working out how to decorate it but these cushions would be just perfect: in sympathy with the concrete but bringing life and personality into play too!

Our garden has come along way since we bought the house 10 years ago – it’s unrecognisable in fact. Even though we’re still a long way off from the end vision, there is something about the energy there, that is really wonderful. Every time I relax out back, I count my blessings. These beautiful cushions would very effectively add softness, warmth and comfort to the ambiance as well as some much needed colour and pattern. The result would be immediate as would our increased enjoyment of the space. Cheers!

My partner does the planning for our outdoor area (specifically the patio) – from flooring to hanging plants. It would be a pleasant change if I got something to share to make our place nice and homely. This pair of cushions would definitely give an oomph to our patio – and I would be able to say that it’s my contribution. And the designs of these cushions are not on the feminine side, so would be a big brownie points for me as he will definitely like them especially friends and family would envy and ask where these comfy lovely cushions were from for sure!

I’ve love to win a couple for our backyard – we are currently in planting mode for spring as well as building a chook house.
