Back in the 1950s, a young Swedish farmer named Karl-Erik Andersson watched as his mother struggled daily with the burden of hand-washing laundry. Naturally he did what any devoted son would do: he invented a washing machine. Built from cast iron and stainless steel it would outlast anything else on the market.

That act of love became ASKO. Fast forward 75 years, that same spirit of solving real problems with thoughtful engineering continues to drive the brand’s new Laundry Care 2.0 suite.
Gone are the days when the laundry was the forgotten room where you’d shove in a load and quickly slam the door. ASKO’s latest collection – sleek, Scandinavian, available in Titanium and Graphite Black, is designed to be seen. These machines blend seamlessly with bespoke cabinetry, turning what was once a purely utilitarian space into a considered extension of the home.
Dare we say it? They’re actually stylish.

The problem you didn’t know you had: The rubber gasket on your washing machine door is likely a breeding ground for mould and bacteria. Over time, it traps moisture and grime, creating the perfect environment for things you don’t want on your clothes.
ASKO’s Steel Seal technology eliminates the problem by being the only domestic washing machine in the world to remove the rubber gasket. Instead, steel replaces rubber, creating a hygienic, germ-free drum that’s easier to load and unload.
The innovation earned ASKO the Sensitive Choice award from the National Asthma Council Australia. Why does it matter? These machines are as kind to allergies as they are to your favourite knits.
Tone it down: If you’ve ever been in your living room watching your favourite TV show while the washing machine thrashes it out, shaking its way through a spin cycle, ASKO’s Quattro Construction 2.0 is a revelation. The professional-grade suspension system, complete with four shock absorbers, reinforced feet, and a steel base, eliminates almost all noise and vibration. Winning!
Borrowing from commercial laundries, where machines work hard and run around the clock, the result is a machine that stays put, stays quiet, and handles heavy loads without complaint.

Here marks the end of damp bundles: You know the feeling: the dryer beeps, you go to fold your freshly laundered pile, and there’s a damp, twisted ball of sheets and clothes that most definitely need another cycle. ASKO’s Butterfly Drying with Bundle Guard was designed to end this frustration. (Cue cheering). The drum paddles move clothes in a figure-8 pattern, creating space between garments so they dry evenly. If bundling does occur, sensors detect it through low humidity levels and reverse the drum for 30 seconds – separating everything before continuing.
Faster, gentler on fabrics, more energy-efficient, and in this cost of living crisis, it means you’re not re-running the dryer and running up your electricity bill.
It’s all in the details: ASKO tumble dryers feature a self-cleaning lower lint filter. Instead of manually cleaning it, the machine uses water collected during the drying cycle to spray and clean the filter. The anti-allergy program runs at higher temperatures to kill dust mites and 99.99999% of bacteria – ideal for anyone with sensitive skin or asthma.
On the washing side, Auto Dose measures and dispenses the exact amount of detergent needed for each load, eliminating waste and guesswork (and saving you money). Sensi Save 2.0 optimises water usage without compromising cleaning power. All thoughtful engineering that makes daily life genuinely easier – just as Karl-Erik did for his mum.

Quiet is the new loud: The Laundry Care 2.0 suite includes four ranges: Classic, Logic, Style, and Style+; spanning different needs and price points. All are designed around ASKO’s core philosophy: soft, human-centric minimalism where function and beauty coexist.
It’s the quintessential Scandi approach to design: clean lines, environmental consideration, and everyday functionality. Built to last, they work beautifully and look good doing it. In an age of planned obsolescence and overly complex interfaces, there’s something deeply appealing about that.
As the ASKO story continues to unfold, they remain dedicated to innovation, quality and sustainability – and good looking design, apparent in this new range.
