After 16 incredible years at Moore Park, independent designer furniture and homewares store Contents International Design (an absolute favourite of mine), have shared an important update as they prepare for their next chapter.
At the end of June, they’ll be moving on from their always beautifully styled Supa Centa showroom, following the completion of their lease.
While this marks the end of an important era for the store in its long-time location, director Andrew Algar wants to reassure all customers that Contents International Design is continuing, and all existing orders, commitments, and importantly, customer service, remain completely unaffected
“Over the past 19 years, from our beginnings in the PYD Building through to Moore Park, we have been fortunate to work with so many wonderful clients, designers, families, and supporters,” he adds. “We are genuinely grateful for the loyalty, relationships, and community that have been built during this time. Moore Park has truly been our home, but not our identity, and we are excited for what comes next.”
From June/July, they’ll be establishing a new warehouse and studio space in Waterloo, conveniently located next to the new Metro station, with more details to follow in the coming weeks.
“As part of this transition, we now need to significantly reduce our floorstock holdings and, for the first time in many years, will be offering substantial reductions across a large range of showroom stock while pieces remain available.
This includes:
- Floorstock pieces
- Designer collections
- One-off and limited pieces
- Accessories and homewares
- And much more.
“For those who have followed and supported us over the years, this will be a rare opportunity to purchase many of our most loved showroom pieces at exceptional value and available immediately, without the usual lead times.”
Floorstock items are sold “as is” and discounted accordingly, with many current and near-new pieces available at outstanding prices. New, custom, and ordered pieces will continue to be available as usual, with standard lead times advised at the time of purchase.
“We would love to welcome you back into the showroom over the coming weeks and personally thank you for your support over the past 16 years,” Andrew says. “This is not goodbye: simply a new chapter for Contents, and we look forward to sharing more with you soon.”
All forms of communication will remain the same, including their phone numbers, email addresses, and social channels, both now and moving forward, so don’t hesitate to get in touch with Andrew and the team.
“We recommend seeing floorstock pieces in the flesh prior to purchase should they have any cosmetic marks as all sales are final once leaving the showroom,” Andrew adds.
