If there’s one brand or shop that still gets me as excited today as it did when I was 18, it’s IKEA. It’s also a rare shop I grew up with in the UK which is exactly the same here in Australia and there’s something comforting and nostalgic about that. I rarely need much for my home these days but I can always find something awesome at IKEA and hey, if I’m not going to buy it, best I share it with my fellow interiors addicts! So, here are my most recent fab finds from the Swedish mega store! and I’ll be back with more every week.
TESAMMANS side table, $69 Everyone’s talking about IKEA’s new limited edition TESAMMANS collection and while it’s selling out left right and centre, it’s worth checking back online for new stock or at your local store. This pink and brown side table is one of my favourite pieces and of course I love that it doubles as extra hidden storage too! Check out the rest of this colourful collection.
LIMITED EDITION FRODD THROW, $49 Because it’s autumn, I love checks and what’s not to like really?! It’s also handwoven and created in partnership with Spun In India, who create jobs for women in rural areas. 130x180cm, it’s made of machine washable soft cotton.
MITTZON FOLDABLE TABLE WITH CASTORS, $349 This lovely green metal table on castors folds flat and strikes me as infinitely flexible and useful as well as easy to get out of the way when you don’t need it as a desk (or small dining table!). It also comes in white. Use several of these in your office and they easily connect together too. Being IKEA it has all sorts of clever little design details like hooks for your headphones/bag, a foot rest and a soft touch surface.
NYSJOEN cabinet for washing machine, $179 I spotted this the other day and thought where was this all my renting life? A great way to add storage in a rental or on a budget and give your basic laundry a new look and more functionality. Love it!
SOLKLINT table lamp, $39 I just love this lamp, which I have at home. It used to sit on a buffet in the hallway and now it’s in the guest bedroom. It looks so much more expensive than it is, emits a lovely glow, perfect for bedsides, and would really work in just about any room! The brass and grey ribbed glass is both on trend and timeless.
HATTASEN BEDSIDE TABLE/SHELF UNIT, $39 This is my own most recent IKEA purchase; a fun, compact and functional bedside for our guest bedroom. It also comes in black, grey-green and light beige. Super handy in a bedroom or by your sofa. The lipped tray top stops small items rolling off, it has that second useful shelf and it’s easy as to assemble and lightweight to move around.
I’ll share more IKEA finds next week! If you discover something fabulous, do let me know! I love that IKEA deliver so quickly these days and at an affordable price too. But you can’t beat a trip to a store to wander the aisles and look for inspiration. My kids also love plane-watching from the restaurant window at IKEA TEMPE while eating meatballs!
This post isn’t sponsored, I just love IKEA!
