When anything is described as colourful I automatically get wary. The neutral and pastel loving cynic within imagines garish patterns and OTT designs, but fortunatelyย that’sย not always the case. Especially when it comes toย Hunting for George’s just released “colourful” collection, which is as far from garish as you can get!
Their new Outsiders blanket collection provesย colour canย well and truly be the hero. With simple, block prints theย range features bright emerald greens, rich cornflower blues and neon pinks.ย Designed to complement their pure cotton sateen bed linen, the rangeย ofย 100% cotton blankets are designed for multi use — perfect as a single bed quilt, queen bed throwย or couch snuggler.
โIt became pretty obvious when designing this range that the hero was going to be colour,” says Lucy Glade-Wright, Hunting for George’s co-founder. “So we developed a subtle design layout to support this. Our structured grids add a beautiful dynamic to each blanket whilst also remaining uncomplicated and peaceful โ everything that a home should be.โ
With four prints:ย Louie, Benny, Faker and Chase, they are all full of character. Each have their own signature colour palette, Louie,ย aย soft lemon citrus; Faker, aย combination ofย apricot, purple and ivory; Benny,ย dreamy emerald-green and Chase, pop pink and blue.
โWe tend to refine our colour choices when designing bed linen but for this blanket collection we really wanted to have fun and experiment with the colour palette,” explains Jo Harris, Hunting for George’s co-founder. “All these colours make us insanely happy and thatโs the reaction we hope many people will have when they lay eyes on them.โ
The new Hunting for George cotton blankets retail forย $179 and are availableย from today.
