H&M has confirmed that its homewares range H&M Home will be a part of the first Australian flagship concept store set to launch in Melbourne later this year.
They intend to fill a gap in the Australian market with stylish, affordable homewares, bedding, cushions, kitchenware and more. The much anticipated first store is set to open at the iconic GPO in the next few months, as a full concept store. Spanning approximately 5,000 square metres, it will be one of H&Mโs largest globally.ย
To celebrate the Australian launch, a specially designed Australian launch fashion collection, Australia Exclusive, will also be available exclusively at the store opening (no date has been announced as yet). Taking inspiration from the latest global trends, this capsule collection has been developed with the Australian lifestyle in mind.
โWe are looking forward to opening our doors to the Australian customers and offering them the H&M shopping experience with fashion and quality at the best price. It will be a unique retail experience and we hope they will enjoy our full concept assortment,โ says Hans Andersson, country manager for H&M Australia.
Available only in select markets, H&M Home will provide Australians with fashion for every room in the house. The collection offers towels, bedding, curtains and other home textiles in trendy colours and prints, as well as home dรฉcor items in glass, metal and wood.ย

This is exciting news! I am excited to see their “Australia Exclusive” brand and whether they do successfully fill a gap in the Australian homewares market. Perhaps that gap will become more apparent once they have arrived! Either way, I predict that their line will have a very welcome reception in all major cities. Will definitely be following!
