Combining minimalist style with genuine functionality, the latest LED fittings to come out of Brightgreen’s Melbourne-based design hub truly deserve a standing ovation. The Surface Series comprises of five pared-back light designs that can be mixed-and-matched to create continuity and harmony throughout interiors – or used solo as accent pieces.
With more interior designers and architects starting to appreciate lighting as a transformative element in design, it makes sense that this shift in thinking would bring lighting out of the ceiling and into the open.
“Lighting can add value to interiors on a myriad of levels”, explains Brightgreen founder, CEO and head of design, David O’Driscoll. “Our Surface Series lights offer a sleek, minimal aesthetic and superb light quality that uses Tru-Colour technology to actually enhance the appearance of skin tones, interior colours and design details and textures.”
The collection confirms the trend towards surface-mounted lighting in Australia for both style and sustainability. In addition to adding design value to interiors, the Surface Series stands to increase overall home energy ratings by eliminating the need for gaps in insulation often required for recessed downlights.
With a constant friction hinge for smooth and easy adjustments, the D900 SHX Curve gives the flexibility to highlight changing interior features over the years.
The T900 Curve offers the same 90°tilt and 355°body rotation as the D900 SHX Curve, with the added flexibility of a track mount.
The P900 Curve projects Brightgreen’s trademark Tru-Colour light quality and brightness while adding an elegant accent to interiors.
