With biophilic design continuing to be a big trend in 2026, family-owned, Australian rug retailer Miss Amara has dropped a new indoor-outdoor collection that’s designed to cope with the rigours of how we live. Crafted so they can handle anything and everything from red wine spills (oops!) to muddy paws and still look good – the fresh new line up is perfect for the Australian summer.

With days heating up and the house getting fuller with holidays on the horizon, the natural want and need to expand into the great outdoors (whether it’s a balcony, patio or courtyard) just got a lot more stylish.
The new flatweave, all-weather range introduces six new designs that work as well outdoors as they do under the dining table. They’re machine washable (because who has time for hand-cleaning rugs?), pet-friendly, stain-resistant and the perfect way to undertake a tiny outdoor update with maximum impact.
“Integrating outdoor spaces into everyday living – turning patios, balconies and gardens into true extensions of the home – is one of the most exciting shifts in contemporary design,” said Shaye Ford, interior designer at Miss Amara. These rugs are built to bridge the gap.
Our picks?
We never met a stripe we didn’t like – the bold Luz (deep cocoa and vivid blue stripe) adds depth to a space.

In forest green and perfect blush pink, the Marilyn rug gives major nostalgic Beverly Hills Hotel energy.

Love neutrals, then you will love Inez. With a scalloped and striped botanical design, it creates a sense of harmony.

Every outdoor space needs a good foundation, and with this collection – we think we’ve found it.
Prices range from $199 (160 x 230cm) to $749 (300 x 400cm). The new indoor-outdoor collection is available now at missamara.com.au.
