Guest judge Darren Palmer and I were equally impressed with her consistent effort throughout the entire week (never mind the outtakes which have continued to be posted as extras ever since!). This is why she won…
It was such a tricky choice this month with so many stunning entries! I think even Darren might agree it was tougher than judging a room on The Block! But we both feel pretty confident we picked the right person. Darren, who said the quality of everyone’s work was inspiring, added: “Dee definitely had the most vignettes I liked over the week. Great work all round and there were many entries in my shortlist. I was so happy to see such great style and skill out there!”
Dee wins a $200 voucher from PAD and two custom cushions from Mantel and Church. I already can’t wait until next month, when the guest judge will be Louise Olsen from Dinosaur Designs.
Darren has asked for a special mention to be given to Kyla Flanagan, for this particular vignette, which was one of his favourites.
Huge congratulations Dee, and well done to the hundreds who took part. I can’t believe we’ve had three rounds already!

Congratulations Dee! Thoroughly deserved. Your styling and photography is stunning and your images are even more beautiful when viewed here on a larger scale. Not only are you clearly very talented but a very supportive person in the IG community who is so generous with compliments of others. I have only met you this way but can imagine you are just as lovely in person. Well done!

There is some amazing talent and really original thinking on 7Vignettes – i really agree that Dee’s themes and styling was brilliant every day. I found myself looking forward to what the next day would bring.
And to top it off she is genuinely supportive and full of praise for everyone else’s work.
So pleased to see such a well deserved talent recognised!

Thanks for those great pictures from Dee, and Dee for THE BOOK – “Work: The Building of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.” I researched it right away, no luck at my library in Seattle. But Amazon had a great review in the “book description,” sounds like a great read about how to do a hugh hi-tech project while including the beauty of nature in the development. I want to read this book to see how the sensitive rural areas were handled and the wild flower meadows were planned and planted. We could learn much better development theories like these to use in the US. Thanks again, Barb
