Melbourne designers, Virginia Martin (of clothing label búl) and Poppy Lane (one half of furniture brand Pop & Scott), have joined creative forces to design a range of hand painted pots. Merging the aesthetic of both brands, the collaboration comprises six designs in two sizes.
Hand painted at the Pop & Scott workshop in the heart of Melbourne’s Northcote, the workspace was founded for the purpose of being able to collaborate with other creatives.
Clean lines and minimal design come into play across the collaboration. In natural búl style, Virginia has kept the concept clean, simple and timeless.
The range has been inspired by búl’s summer ’16 collection entitled Sri Lanka. The refined designs draw from the myriad of bold colours, ranging from warm yellow and nude, through to grey, stone and black. The sharp lines, soft curves and architectural shapes have been hand painted, highlighting both designers’ styles.
The POP X búl collaboration will be available at all búl stores from this Thursday 5 November. For more information.
