The much-anticipated inaugural Maison Instyle trade event has been postponed until next year, it was announced today. The event had received great support with over 1,000 interior designers, retail buyers, wholesalers and stylists signing up to attend. Feedback, however, from the Maison Instyle Advisory Council and other industry leaders has been that to enable as many brands and companies to participate, the event should run at a later date.
“We knew this was an industry under-represented in the events sector, and the support Maison Instyle has received from the beginning has been excellent,” said Amelia Coote, exhibition manager. “With the feedback being so encouraging we felt we needed more time to make sure that the high expectations were met.” Maison Instyle will build on its industry relationships and grow its reach even further for the remainder of this year. The Maison Instyle blog, its Facebook page and Twitter feed will continue to provide news, opinions, interviews, competitions and information about the interiors industry.
“The change will be disappointing to the many people who couldn’t wait until the doors opened, but we’re not going anywhere and will continue to be part of an industry that we love,” said Amelia. “For those who simply can’t wait for our first event, we’re pleased that some of our exhibitors have taken up the opportunity to show their incredible products at Life Instyle in August.”
