The continued success of online shopping has forced retailers to get creative with their offerings and the new Country Road lifestyle concept store in Melbourne’s Albert Park is testament to this. With its chic marble hexagonal floor tiles and in-house cafe, not only are shoppers able to purchase the iconic Aussie brand’s Man, Woman, Child and Home collections, they can stop for a coffee at the store’s café too.
“After the success of our Sorrento store of a similar concept, we felt Albert Park was a wonderful location to continue our complete lifestyle offering,” says managing director Darren Todd of the store that is housed in a heritage-listed building.
The café, titled ‘Park’ is a stylish collaboration between Country Road and Melbourne hospitality ventures Almond Milk Co and Tommy Collins’ bakery ‘The Hamptons,’ and features plenty of gorgeous interior details including a large marble bench top, cognac leather banquette seating and timber stools. The heritage site also features original gold door handles, high ceilings, wooden beams and large metal frame windows – the loftiness contributing to a feeling of bringing the outdoors in.
The latest Country Road store opening is part of a larger plan for the brand that is trying to create a complete lifestyle experience for its customers and in great news, there will be further openings this year and in early 2017 too.
