The Design School are a small interior decoration-based school in Melbourne and we are looking for someone working in the design industry, (preferably an interior designer/decorator) to look at our course curriculum and to provide feedback in a one day session.
Your knowledge of the industry and your understanding of what a decorator/designer needs to know will provide us valuable insight into better preparing our students.
The session will be directed by one of our teachers and additional staff to help give you the rundown of why we teach what we teach; as well as details all about our school, values and ethos.
The session will involve comparisons between of our school projects vs. reality in the workplace, which parts of the curriculum are believed to be the most useful and what level of student work would be expected in the industry.
Successful candidate to be paid at $60 per hour. The session is predicted to run for 6 hours; but may be slightly more, or slightly less.
If hoping to apply, please send us an email and detail your role and quickly detail your experience as an interior decorator/designer. If you work in the design industry but are not a decorator/designer, your knowledge may be of interest to us, so please detail how you fit into the industry within your email as you may be suitable.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask.
