Stylish kids decor range from Empire Lane

Another day, yet another example of children’s rooms done in a tasteful, fun and not too garish or quick-to-date way! (It’s been a great week for parents here on Interiors Addict!) Melbourne interior designer Nicole Chapman, founder of Empire Lane Design, has launched her own collection of kids pieces and they’re rather lovely.

The range includes cushions and wall art depicting lamas and flamingos, and on trend patterns like the ever-popular chevron.

There are also contemporary, removable wall decals, great for renters and commitment phobes, as they can be removed with no damage. The gold polka dots are my favourite. Do you think they’d be okay in a grown-up bedroom? ;)

Hi Jen, I’m a long time fan of your blog but first time commenter – I agree that there is a fine line between fun and garish when it comes to decorating kids rooms. Before you pick up a paintbrush (or a polka dot) you have to decide whether you are decorating to their tastes or your own. If you can find that balance between both then great. Nicole’s designs are really tastefully done and if our kids liked them it would be an easy decision – but our boys won’t have a bar of anything that’s not trucks or super heros…
